Only one year after his previous review on the skin penetration of nano-sized particles from cosmetic products, Johann already felt the need to write another review on exactly the same topic as the science in this field is developing with an enormous speed. The paper entitled “Small, smaller and nanomaterials: An invisible benefit” was published in the May 2010 issue of Cosmetics & Toiletries, where Johann also serves as Technical Advisor. All the latest developments that now provide clarity on the troubled issues of the last review are discussed, as well as the aspects that still deserve further attention.
