From March 28, 2011 onwards "Formulating for Efficacy, the Software" is for sale. The interest from the cosmetic market has been enormous. The number of hits to the new website www.jwsolutionssoftware.com that describes what the software can do and from which the software can also be bought has broken every record of JW Solutions. The sales have been better than expected. Especially when people see the software in action, demonstrated by either Johann Wiechers or Steven Abbott, they decide to buy this handy package that can actually do much more than what it was designed to do. The first clients have already recognized its use in designing prodrugs for topical delivery, identifying solvent systems for thin layer chromatography, to name but a few. Schools of Pharmacy have shown interest to use this software package as a teaching tool, as it demonstrates the science behind topical formulations.
Steven has started some very handy programming to allow the calculation of the Skin Delivery Gap (click here to read the Hot Topic discussion on the Skin Delivery Gap). From this, one can predict whether the active ingredient can also be clinically active (click here to read the Hot Topic discussion on the Formulating for Efficacy: Clinical Proof). We hope that this topic will soon be added to "Formulating for Efficacy, the Software". Existing customers will get this extra feature free of charge in recognition for their early purchase, whereas new customers will pay the new price of the software.
Over the next weeks, Johann will be working on creating an on-line demonstration tool of "Formulating for Efficacy, the Software". After all, seeing is believing! Watch this place or www.jwsolutionssoftware.com for further developments. If you can’t wait that long and would like to see a demonstration, contact either Johann or Steven and both will be happy to give you a tour of the program via Skype (provided you have one of the later versions of Skype allowing screen sharing).
Really, there is no longer any excuse for non-efficacious cosmetic or pharmaceutical topically applied formulations. Click here for more details on "Formulating for Efficacy, the Software".
